Do you have something worth saying but don’t know how to say it? This is when you may need the assistance of a ghostwriter. Last year, I accepted two ghostwriting projects which I finished successfully not too long ago. In the future, I will only be accepting one project at a time.
Ghostwriting books is an extremely intimate and demanding experience that unfolds between client and writer. It is as much an investment (both monetary and otherwise) as a foray in the stock market, only a much more personal one. The overall cost depends on how long you wish the book to be, whether there is research involved, what your budget is, and what assistance you are ready and willing to provide. Furthermore, if you “don’t have any time” to invest in your project, or expect me to simply go ahead without ever consulting or contacting you, perhaps this is not the right time to hire a ghostwriter. At the very least, you should make yourself available if you have questions, and you absolutely MUST, and I mean MUST, have the time to discuss with me exactly what your vision for each portion of your book is.
One important point to make here is that if YOU don’t believe in your book, nobody else will. Therefore, it is essential that this investment is both calculated and intensely desired. When a client pulls me on board with his or her project, this does not mean that such client won’t have to do anything in the process. This is THE CLIENT’S project, their dream. Therefore, having me on the team simply means that a very personal, ongoing collaboration has begun.
